[Random Song] “YOUR STEP” from [Yamashita Tomohisa]

Again I’m back with a Japanese… No, not a song, but an artist~! The song is 100% English, though(So it’s even potentially something for the K-Pop fans as well ;)
This is officially the first song of Yama-P that I really fell in love with. Let me introduce to you:

[5 Songs] that are meaningfully deep

*sing* Deeper than the sea~
…Yeah, right. Maybe I’m listening to Exo too much.

-This time I’m not gonna split into Korean/Japanese, but rather go for 2 Korean, 2 Japanese and 1 Chinese song-

Some people like to let go while listening to music, to forget all the problems in the world.
And I won’t deny that’s probably the intention of some artists, as well. But there are certain artists to choose otherwise: To point out problems they see or to name their innermost fears and troubles as a first step to progress them and to encourage other people to follow them in doing this. I’ve always had the habit to fall for this type of songs. Hard. They haunt me, wrap me up and don’t let me go… Does this even make sense?

I’m gonna introduce you to some songs that fall under my category of truly meaningful songs – Let’s go tackle some issues, then?

The reason for not focusing on any language is that those songs simply are the strongest ones and I wanted to keep this list on a level as high as possible. Also people shouldn’t cling to one language only~
I can still make a second list if I come upon more songs like this :)

1. BADMAN from B.A.P (Korean)

A predictable entry in this list, huh?
People who’re into K-Pop might know that B.A.P’s leader Yongguk is notoriously un-idol-like. Not overly pretty, not overly cute, just not overly attention-seeking(No offense to idols doing their job). He just seems believably human and real and has an honest soft spot for all kind of charity on top of that. Though still young he already has the feeling of a true artist sticking to him, for obvious reasons. Rather than taking the safe route he produces songs and writes lyrics which more often than not tackle various problems.

And oh boy, BADMAN is a strong song. In means of the costumes, the as always Blockbuster-like video but mostly in terms of lyrics.

[5 Songs] that are plain hot(Japanese)

Sooo… Last time I listed Korean songs that make you blush upon hearing them. Let’s take a look at some Japanese songs today!
First things first; Japanese Pop-music is far more… “Explicit” than Korean music. Surely, that’s not even difficult and most Pop-songs are still pretty innocent… But let’s see what I found on my playlists and maybe you can spot the difference!

01. Candy from Koda Kumi

Koda Kumi is Japans’ sexy Queen. She’s pretty much the ambassador of feminine sex-appeal, always finding ways to be a little more provocative, a little more daring. That’s why it’s truly difficult to limit myself to one song. But I’ll stick with good old “Candy”, a rather old song(2006), which invalids a lot of arguments about the ‘prudish Japanese culture’. At least Kuu was never too shy for some sultry melodies, overly sexy vocals and dance moves. What makes Koda Kumi stand out from most other female artists in the industry is her oozing confidence. We all now she enjoys the spotlight, enjoys being sexy, and it’s a common fact that you can only be hot if you have the confidence.

5 Japanese songs that are (positively) Creepy!

I’m not even gonna do an attempt of smalltalk – Let’s just get straight into it, right? It should be a prejudice that the wide range of Japanese music offers loads of weird and creepy stuff. It should be.
…Except it’s true – There are a lot of songs that can give you the chills(again, in a positive way)! I’ll share five from the top off my head with you:

1. petal – Ayumi Hamasaki

This is not what most people would deem scary in any way. Someone even told me it was such a sweet song. Yeah, right – Sweet? Maybe the lyrics would fall under sweet, but the haunting melody gives it a totally different touch for me(kinda similar to f(x)’s “Shadow”) – Actually it’s about the old ‘Love me, love me not’-Game, where she symbolizes her new-found love with a flower she found on her way home.

Goodbye, goodbye
Plucking off the petals one by one
The last remaining petal
If it lands on “he loves me not”… Continue reading

[Random Song] – Sekai no Owari – “Death Disco”

Hallo~
Und da hab ich was gefunden, was mir echt gut gefällt: Continue reading
